Hummingbird Tableaux is the culmination of 14 years and more than 5000 hours training and photographing wild hummingbirds. These are Hummingbird portraits, not nature photos, and were taken on the patio of my apartment in Metro Las Vegas, less than a mile from the strip. I create a set, then teach the bird where and how to pose. I named him Lorus after the watchmaker because he was always on time.
